The Hellenic Private Schools Association, after becoming member of ECNAIS, invited Ecnais chairman to visit Athens.
From the 12th to the 15th March, Simon Steen had several meetings participated in a debate paying special emphasis on the right of parental choice of school, on the need for policies allowing maximum school autonomy as well as on the need to allow private schools to choose and retain the teachers they consider best suited to their program and their mission.
An interview to Ms. Marnie Papamathaiou, a very able and well recognized reporter, accredited to the Ministry of Education and responsible for reporting developments in the education sector for two of the most prestigious Greek Newspapers “To Vima” (translated “The Tribune”) and “Ta Nea” (translated “The News”) was arranged.
