ECNAIS Seminar in Bucharest - November 2024
ECNAIS Seminar “Co-create the Future of Education” was held in Bucharet, Romania, from 13th to 15th November 2024. This Seminar has been organized in good cooperation with the Romanian member of ECNAIS, ASP – Association of Private Schools.
On November 13th we had the General Meeting of ECNAIS, open for oficial ECNAIS members only.
On November 14th, the first day of Seminar, during the opening session we had speeches from - Christian Comșa, ASP President; Rodrigo Queiroz e Melo, ECNAIS Chairman; Mariana Dogaru, Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Pre-University Education (ARACIP), President and a video message from Victor Negrescu, Member of the European Parliament, Vice-President.
After that, participants attended an ECNAIS panel “Leadership in Independent and Private Education: Navigating Challenges and Seizing Opportunities” with speaker Sofia Reis, AEEP, Portugal. This panel had the participation of: Michal Musil - Gymnázium Jana Palacha – Czechia; Jolanta Kaluza - Complex of Silesian International Schools - Poland and Petri Vuorinen - The English School Foundation – Finland. Sofia Reis presented her research on Leadership in times of turbulence and the participants shared theIr experience as school leaders navigating turbulence.
This was followed by a keynote form Benjamin Davies, Colina Learning Center, that spoke about ”Leading Schools for the Future: Creating Innovative and Impactful Learning Environments”. Benjamin presented his personal and professional experience, and some tools, on how school leaders can create learning environments that foster innovation, collaboration, and impactful learning.
In the afternoon, participants enjoyed a city tour in Bucharest.
On November 15th, last day of the Seminar, participants visited three schools: IDEES German Kindergarten, IDEES German School, and IOANID International School.
