ECNAIS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING and ECNAIS STUDENT DEBATE EVENT | LISBON | MARCH 2026

ECNAIS will be hosting ECNAIS Student Debate Event, in Lisbon, Portugal, on 23^rd and 24^th March 2026. This Event has been organized in good cooperation with the Portuguese member of ECNAIS, AEEP – Portuguese Association of Independent Schools.                                                                                          The debate overarching theme is once again: “Promoting Democracy and Civic Engagement”.

Student Debate Event - venue and program     

The 2026 ECNAIS Student Debate Event follows the structure of the Debate project developed by ECNAIS with the support of Porticus. The debate language will be English. More information about this project in Debate Project.                                                                                                                                    The event will take place at Colégio Valsassina (www.cvalsassina.pt), an independent school, member of AEEP, situated in Lisbon.                                                                                                                                  The program is available here PROGRAM

Registration for student teams and accompanying teacher

It is the national association member of ECNAIS that decide the teams that represent the country. Team registration is done through a specific registration form that should be filled in and sent no later than February 28th.                                                                                                                                                 It is possible the participation of a maximum of 2 teams per country.  Each team must have 3 students and 1 accompanying teacher.                                                                                                                          All participants will have to book and pay their travel and accommodation.                                          Please contact your local association (https://www.ecnais.org/category/member_organizations/).

Registration for ECNAIS members and teachers/principles attending the debate event other than the teacher that accompanies the student team is done online HERE .                                                           Participation cost for ECNAIS members and teachers/principles attending the debate event other than the teacher that accompanies the student team is 75€ per person. This covers coffee breaks, lunch at the school on the 24th and the official dinner on the 24th.                                                                                      All participants will have to book and pay their travel and accommodation.

The AGM is scheduled for Monday, March 23rd, from 17:00 to 19:30, in Lisbon.                                          This meeting is open for official ECNAIS members only.

ECNAIS Events in Helsinki | November 2025

ECNAIS will be hosting ECNAIS events back-to-back with the 2nd PLA (please see agenda under).          EFEE and ECNAIS have separate registration systems.

Registrations for the ECNAIS events is available through this link                                                                The participation fee for ECNAIS events is €200 (meetings, cultural activity and dinner) that will be paid to ECNAIS (150€ for accompanying persons).                                                                                                Participants will need to arrange and cover their own travel and accommodation.

ECNAIS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING | ISTANBUL | APRIL 2025

The ECNAIS Annual General Meeting (open for official ECNAIS members only) will take place on the 9^th of April, from 16:30 to 19:00.                                                                                                                                 If you are going to attend the ECNAIS General Assembly, please do not forget to tick the box when you register for the Peer Learning Activity.

As you may see in the calendar, the official event ends on Friday 11^th April, at 13:30. An activity may be organised in the afternoon, but it is still not certain. More information on whether or not it will be organized will be available as soon as possible.
