Information
The Turkish Private Schools Association was founded on April 20, 1951 in Istanbul. The headquarters of the Association is in Istanbul, with 1103 members in 53 provinces throughout Turkiye. Our members consist of private Turkish schools, foreign schools, minority schools and international schools. The goal of our Association is to support the education of knowledgeable, skillful, creative, researching and productive, individuals with national and universal values equipped with knowledge and skills necessary for the developments in our country and the world, and for a democratic civil society in pursuance of Atatürk’s principles and contemporary civilization goals in Turkiye while respecting the universal human rights and freedoms. The foundation aim of the Association was to encourage the Turkish private sector invest in the field of education, to spread the private schools country-wide and to provide better quality educational environment for the students. In order to enhance our education with better quality and dynamic system, our association regularly organizes in-service programs, workshops and symposia with academicians and experts in the field. We have a number of educational publications and a periodical distributed to our members regularly.
