The role that civil societies play in developing
Bucharest, Romania | 14 - 15 November 2013
Seminar
The objectives of private schools in Rumania are strongly related to ECNAIS’ goals. For Rumanian independent schools good cooperation with local civil societies and other European independent schools are important.
ECNAIS can contribute in both ways to set an example of the role that civil societies can play in developing independent education at all levels and enhance cooperation between independent schools Europe wide.
This can lead to a better qualification of teachers and quality of education throughout Europe.
As in each European country the Rumanian legislation on independent education can not be fully understood without taken into consideration the cultural and political history of the country.
In the seminar we will focus on
- Rumanian legislation on independent education and the wish to give more room to initiatives from the civil society
- some ECNAIS members will reflect on the subject by making a comparison with their own countries’ legislation on independent education and their efforts to enhance and strengthen the position of independent education
- an analyse of differences in legislation on independent education at a European level
- partially on post graduation education as a main topic in Rumanian independent education
- the meaning and effect of minimum quality standards for the improvement of the quality of education.
